Master of Recording Arts.
Tonight, and for the next 6 weeks I'll be teaching the digital audio theory component of "MUS801: Studio Technique and Practice" which is part of Macquarie University's Master of Recording Arts degree program.
The course is run by the Department of Contemporary Music Studies and the students come from a music or humanities background. My job is teach them about the theory behind recording technology, the basics of how sound is recorded and processed by computers and the workings of the main studio effects.
Judging from how much I enjoyed teaching this last year its going to be a lot of fun. Thanks to Denis Crowdy for inviting to me to do this for the first time last year and inviting me back again this year.
